Gueldig, Eleanor 1
"Eleanor A. Kohler, nee Gueldig, 92, of Belleville, Ill., born Oct. 25, 1910, in Trenton, Ill., died Saturday June 14, 2003, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill. Mrs. Kohler was a brusher at the Peerless Enamel Co. for more than 38 years. She was a member of St. Peter's Cathedral, Belleville, Ill., and the Senior Citizens Group. Mrs. Kohler was preceded in death by her first husband, August J. Herzing, who died Jan. 28, 1954; her second husband, William G. Kohler, who died Aug. 1, 1995; her parents, John and Anna, nee Hoffarth Gueldig; two sisters, Cecelia Osterwisch and Helen Jureziz; and two brothers, Phillip and Charles Gueldig. Surviving are a daughter, Evelyn F. (Ronald J.) Stauder of Belleville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Cindy (Steven) Vaughn of Belleville, Ill., Luann (Charles) Wasser of Belleville, Ill., James Stauder and dear friend, Elaine Miller, of Belleville, Ill., Lynn Mitzan of Belleville, Ill., Barbara (Jerry) Nowak of O'Fallon, Ill. and Thomas (Barb) Stauder of Belleville, Ill.; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Bevirt . . . A funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2003, at St. Peter's Cathedral, Belleville, Ill., with Monsignor James Buerster officiating. Burial will be in Green Mount Catholic Cemetery, Belleville, Ill. GEORGE RENNER & SONS FUNERAL HOME, Belleville, Ill."
Eleanor married August J. Herzing, son of August William Herzing and Appolonia Peters. (August J. Herzing was born about 1909 and died on Jan 28, 1954.)
