Catharine did not come to the US on July 26' 1859 with her parent, but she was living with them when the Mascoutah census was taken on August 19' 1860. She was seventeen years old.
Catharine & John lived on a farm in Looking Glass Township near Trenton until he died in 1905.
In 1910 Catharine was living with her daughter Catharine & husband Henry Adelhardt in St. Clair County.
In 1920 Catharine was living with her son Joseph & family in the O'Fallon-Caseyville area. This is where she died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 80 years.
Her husband's will stated that he had distributed all of his real estate to his heirs before he died.
