George married Caroline Holl on Jun 17, 1867. (Caroline Holl was born in Feb 1848, died on Nov 11, 1916 and was buried in New Ulm, Brown, Minnesota, USA.)

In 1870 George & Caroline were living on a 65-acre farm in Mascoutah Township. Their first three children were born here. Their neighbors in 1870 were: George's parents, Barbara & Johann with 21-year Joseph; and George' brother, John George Haas & Appolonia, who lived where Firmin Lanter now lives.

Between 1874 and 1878 they moved to New Ulm, Minnesota, where George was a saloon keeper. They had two more children there.

George died of influenza at the age of fifty years.

In 1900 Caroline wa living in New Ulm with John & Joseph & Carrie. Both John & Joseph were working at the flour mill.

In 1910 Caroline was living on State Street in New Ulm. Her son Jon was living with her and employed as a trimmer ina millinery store.

Louis Haas married Sophia in 1901. In 1910 and 1920 they were living at 510 Franklin Street in New Ulm. He was a laborer in the flour mill. They had no children.

George next married Catherine Lindner, daughter of Karl Lindner and Anna Persau, in 1865. (Catherine Lindner was born on Sep 13, 1846, died in 1865 and was buried in Mascoutah, St. Clair, Illinois, USA.)
