I think the Elizabeth Meyer 3 and son Johan 14 that you found in the 1900 Census is this family. 1880 Census: Julius MAYER Self M Male W 39 BRANDENBERG Laborer BRANDENBERG BRANDENBERG Elisibeth MAYER Wife M Female W 34 BRANDENBERG Keeps House BRANDENBERG --- Paul MAYER Son S Male W 12 BRANDENBERG School BRANDENBERG BRANDENBERG Fritz MAYER Son S Male W 7 BRANDENBERG School BRANDENBERG BRANDENBERG Otto MAYER Son S Male W 2 WI BRANDENBERG BRANDENBERG Anna MAYER Dau S Female W 4 WI BRANDENBERG BRANDENBERG The 1900 Fond du lac Census Elisabeth Meyer March 1856 widow; Fred December 1872 Germany; Annie February 1876 Wiscosin; Otto August 1877; Elisabeth November 1881; Frank May 1884; Johann November 1885; Emma April 1888 I did find Fred in the WWI draft registration: Fred William Meyer born December 31, 1872 Germany bricklayer, nearest relative Elizabeth May have found Julius death........he was in 1880 census and also 1895 but dead before 1900. Found a Franz Julius Meyer who died August 8, 1899 Fond Du Lac...possibly the Julius from the earlier Census. I don't have any of these Meyers in my family tree...that I know of anyway. They were from Branenberg. Diane

I am pretty much convinced that the Johann Adam Meyer who was buried in Fond du Lac is Adam Meyer born April 1838 Germany, immigrated in 1872 His wife was an Anna Maria born February 1849 and immigrated same year. Our John Adam immigrated in 1852 with the rest of the family I've traced the 1838 Fond du Lac, Adam and his family from following Census's 1880, 1900, 1905, thru the April 1910 Census in Taycheedah, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He is in the April 1910 census and so is his wife, but neither one of them is in the 1920 census living with any of their children. I believe this Adam is the one buried September 1910 in Fond du Lac. I couldn't find any paper obit on them....too early for the online FDL obits. I haven't found a ship record for them yet but in each of the US census there may be leads to the Emmerich family. I find Peter born about 1848; Joseph born about 1840 and a widow Catherine who was 73 in 1880 with sons Peter age 48 and Michael 35 both born Germany. There are several other surnames very familiar to me on the same pages such as Wagner, Koenigs, Birschbach. This Meyer still could still end up part of our bunch, but for now, not our Adam. Hope this helps, Diane
