Sheboygan Press Friday March 5, 1954 Mrs. Lester Lider, 31, of route 2, Sheboygan, County Trunk A. three miles north of the city, passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital Thursday evening. She had been ill for the past month. Nee Angeline Simma she was born in Sheboygan on June 26, 1922, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Simma. She attended St. Pauls Lutheran School and was confirmed at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. On February 4, 1939, she was married at St. Pauls Church to Lester Lider. Survivors include her husband; three sons Carl, Gilbert and David; one daughter, Shirley; and her mother, Mrs. Bertha Simma. Her father, Frank Simma, preceded her in death in 1943. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church. The Rev. Em. Malkow will officate and burial will be made in the family lot in the Lutheran cemetery.
The Sheboygan Press-October 3, 2004-Lester Ben Lider Lester Ben Lider, age 86, of 11 Aspen Lane in Plymouth, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 2 at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility where he had been a resident since Tuesday. He was born on Dec. 22, 1917, in Chilton, Wis., son of the late William Kerstetter and Ed and Anna Williams Lider. He attended Plymouth area schools.On June 30, 1939, he married Angeline Simma. She preceded him in death on March 4, 1954. On Dec. 17, 1956, he married Dorothee Heck in Waukegan, Ill. The couple lived in the Elkhart Lake area after their marriage until moving to Plymouth in 1991. Lester worked at the Kohler Company for 32 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. He was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club, Plymouth Skat Club, Good Sam’s Camping Club, Elk Rhine Rider Snowmobile Club and the Kohler Horseshoe Club where he was a club champion. He was also a charter member of the Sheboygan County Motorcycle Club and had been the oldest living member. Lester enjoyed riding his Harley for 40 years, loved to polish his bike and all the cars he owned. He also was a “snowbird” to Texas for 10 years where he belonged to a bowling team and a pool league. He loved his wife and children, playing cards and last of all loved watching western movie Survivors include his wife, Dorothee of Plymouth; five sons, Carl (Neeta) Lider of Hillsboro, Texas, Gilbert Lider of Cleveland, Wis., Michael (Susan) Lider of Kiel, John (Joell) Lider of Branden, Fla., and David Lider of Random Lake; two daughters, Shirley Lider of Plymouth and Kitty (Thomas) Roitt of Plymouth; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Brown of New London and Ruth Lider of Clintonville; one brother, Willie Lider of Missouri. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Walter; one sister, Katherine; and one daughter-in-law, Johnita. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until time of services on Wednesday.
