Sheboygan Press Saturday October 4, 1941 Kiel: Adam Willems, 74, died at 2:30 a.m., Friday, at his farm home in the town of New Holstein after being ill for two years. He was born September 10, 1867, in the town of Russell, and he and his family had resided at the present residence for the past 60 years. On January 15, 1895, he married Katherine Mueller of this city. Survivors include the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Clara) Braun of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Philip (Margaret) Liebe, Plymouth, a son, John J. Willems, at home, and two grandchildren, Robert Willems and Kathleen Braun. The deceased was a member of the Catholic Knights of SS Peter and Paul church. Members of that organization will attend services in a body. Services will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Meiselwitz Funeral home, and at 10 o'clock at the church. The Rev. F. X. Kheil will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.




Sheboygan Press, Thursday July 10, 1952 Mrs. Katie Willems, 77, town of New Holstein, passed away at St. Nicholas Hospital Wednesday morning following a short illness. Nee Mueller, she was born Nov. 17, 1874, in Kiel, the daughter of the late John and Margaret Mueller. As a child she moved to St. Ann with her parents. On Jan. 13, 1895, she was married to Adam Willems and the couple settled on the family homestead in the town of New Holstein. She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Kiel, the Christian Mothers Society and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin. Survivors include: two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Clara) Braun of Sheboygan and Mrs. Phillip (Margaret) Liebe of Plymouth; one son, John, on the homestead farm; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs Peter Kirsh of Milwaukee; and one brother, Anthony, of Kiel. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, and at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. James Roeske will be celebrant of the requiem high mass and burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state after 7 p.m., today, until the hour of services. At 7:30 p.m., Friday, members of the Christian Mothers Society and the Catholic Knights will pray the rosary at a vigil to be held at the church. Sheboygan Press, Thurs. The mass was sung by the parish choir with Mrs. Henry Meyer at the organ. Interment was made in the family lot in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Bahrs, George and Raymond Mueller, David Schmidt, Raymond Stahl and Joseph Williams. Members of the Christian Mothers Society of Ss. Peter and Paul Church recited the rosary at the church at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Catholic Knights of Wisconsin held a vigil at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Sheboygan Press, Wed.
